DynaRoad is a tool specifically designed for earthworks projects. In addition to traditional project management software, it features mass haul optimization, advanced resource based scheduling, and site monitoring. DynaRoad shortens haul distances, reduces the need for stockpiling, and helps control project execution.

DynaRoad™ is a schedule and mass haulage optimisation system for heavy construction projects. The system provides substantial cost savings due to shortened mass haul distances and increased effectiveness in resource and schedule control.

Why DynaRoad?

Up to 65% of road construction project costs are related to earthworks. DynaRoad is a project management software specially developed for optimizing these costs. It enables benefits in all project phases allowing quicker and more accurate planning and analysis compared to traditional tools.

DynaRoad Modules

DynaRoad consists of three modules:

DynaRoad Plan - calculating mass balance and haul distances, evaluating costs of different design and planning alternatives.
DynaRoad Schedule - creating an optimized and realistic construction schedule combined with a scheduled mass haul plan.
DynaRoad Control - monitoring actual hauls and controlling project execution.

The modules are fully integrated but can also be used separately.

Familiar Features

DynaRoad sports a standard Windows Graphical User Interface with full printing capabilities, and functionality familiar to users of generic project management tools. It includes several graphical views, such as Gantt chart, resource graph, mass haul diagram and time-distance chart, as well as a comprehensive set of text reports. The user is guided by an assistant and views are equipped with online help.

Position Partners acquires DynaRoad distribution rights in Australia

Precision systems company Position Partners has acquired the distribution rights for DynaRoad mass haulage and scheduling software in Australia. Under the agreement, Position Partners will distribute and support DynaRoad in close collaboration with Dr Russell Kenley, CEO of Location Based Management Source (LBMS).

The announcement follows the recent acquisition of Helsinki-based DynaRoad Oy by Topcon Positioning Group and the establishment of the Topcon Helsinki Technology Centre. The new centre will see collaboration and integration between Topcon’s positioning and machine control systems and DynaRoad’s construction project planning and scheduling solutions.

“As Topcon’s exclusive Australian partner, Position Partners was able to establish a unique agreement with DynaRoad’s Australian distributor LBMS, to maximise effectiveness for the local market,” said Martin Nix, Position Partners CEO.

“We are thrilled that Dr Kenley has agreed to work with us in an advisory capacity, his expertise with DynaRoad software will be a terrific asset to our customers and employees alike.”
